How can I receive a refund for a fully paid order, an expired order, a partially paid (underpaid), or an overpaid order?

To request a refund for a fully paid and confirmed order, the merchant must contact our support with order details and the Bitcoin address to which the refund should be sent. If the withdrawal for this payment was already paid out to the merchant, it is up to the merchant himself to issue the refund.

If a Bitcoin, Litecoin or Ethereum payment failed for some reason and reached the CoinGate invoice after the timer had already expired, a refund form will be displayed on the invoice. The refund form will also be displayed in case the customer overpaid the invoice. Please note that you will not see the refund form if your transaction has not been confirmed on the blockchain. In such cases, the customer can fill out the form directly on the invoice, without involvement of the merchant. If the customer requests so, we will be able to process the payment manually, and the refund will not be issued.Minimum refundable amounts are as follows: 0.001 BTC, 0.001 LTC, 0.001 ETH. Refunds can take up to 48 hours to be sent.

Altcoin payments that are received late or in the correct amount are refunded automatically to your provided refund address. In case of any issues, please contact CoinGate support.

An example refund form is shown below.
