If your company was established only recently, it may not yet have some of the standard verification documents, such as a tax declaration or a 6-month bank statement. In that case, you can provide the alternatives below. This applies to newly incorporated companies without an operating history. If your company has existed for longer and only the bank account is new, we still need a 6-month statement from the account the company has been using for its business.
Bank statement
Instead of a 6-month bank statement, please provide:
- a bank account confirmation letter issued by your bank, showing the company as the account holder, and
- a bank statement covering the period from the account opening date until today.
It is fine if the statement shows little or no activity yet. If your company has not opened a bank account yet, let us know and send the confirmation once the account is open.
Tax declaration
If the company has not completed its first fiscal period and has no tax declaration yet, please provide the director’s personal tax declaration instead.
Proof of address
If there is no rental agreement or utility bill in the company’s name yet, or if the company works remotely and has no office, please provide the director’s personal proof of address. Accepted documents are a rental agreement, a utility bill (gas, water, electricity or landline internet), an insurance policy, or an official government-issued residence registration document, dated within the last 3 months. Bank statements are not accepted as proof of address. If the company works remotely, please also confirm this to our Support team in writing, so we understand why the document is in a personal name.
Supporting documents that can help
You may also add documents showing how the company was funded, for example an investment agreement, a loan agreement, or other documents showing where the starting capital came from. These are not required in every case, but they help our Compliance team complete the review faster.
What if the upload is rejected?
The verification form checks documents against the standard requirements, so an alternative document may be rejected automatically (for example, a bank statement shorter than 6 months). If this happens, contact our Support team or reply to our message, explain that the company is newly incorporated, and attach the documents. We will pass them on to our Compliance team, who make the final decision.
