To connect your website to CoinGate using the API, you’ll first need to generate API credentials (Access Token) from your merchant dashboard. Each token is unique and can only be viewed once — make sure to store it securely.

 Token Usage & Best Practices

  • Paste your Access Token into your platform’s CoinGate integration module or use it in your direct API calls.
  • Store the token securely — it will not be displayed again.
  • Create a separate token for each website or service where you're using CoinGate.

Testing in Sandbox Mode

If you want to test CoinGate’s API in a safe environment:

  1. Sign up at sandbox.coingate.com
  2. Follow the exact same steps to generate API credentials
  3. Sandbox tokens only work in the test environment and won’t affect real orders
