What documents do I need to verify my business account?

It all depends on the type of business you run or represent. Generally, companies have to provide these documents:

  • Business Registration (also known as Business registration document/certificate);
  • Article of Association (AOA, also known as Constitution, Memorandum, Articles of Incorporation);
  • Live ID check — the person who registers the business account completes a Live ID verification. This is a short identity check done with your device camera, where you photograph your ID document and yourself. If the account is being set up by an agent or another authorised person on behalf of the company, that person completes the Live ID check.
  • Photo ID documents of the director and the UBOs — a copy of a government-issued photo ID (International Passport or ID card only) for the director of the company, and for every ultimate beneficial owner holding 25% or more of the company.
  • Proof of address of the company (see below).

In compliance with the local Lithuanian laws, this is what we DON’T accept as valid ID: driver’s license and internal passport.

IMPORTANT! All required documentation must meet these conditions:

  1. Everything must be sorted out by the director of a company or authorized personnel. POA (Power of Attorney) is required if acting on behalf of the director or company.
  2. All paperwork must be official meaning it has to be stamped and/or signed, depending on the local laws of a customer.

Documents provided in any other format will be immediately rejected.

Proof of address

Proof of address simply shows where your company works from. It is one of the documents we most often have to ask for again, so here is what to look for.

The address should be your operational address — the place the business is actually run from. A registered office or virtual office address on its own does not show this.

Working remotely? Many companies have no office at all, and that is fine. In that case you can give us the director’s personal proof of address instead — just add a short note telling us that the company operates remotely, so we know why the document is in a personal name.

The document should show:

  • the company name (or the director’s name, if the company works remotely);
  • the full address — street, city and country;
  • who issued it and when.

Documents that work well:

  • a utility bill — electricity, water, gas, internet or landline telephone;
  • a lease or rental agreement;
  • an insurance policy or invoice showing the address.

A few things to keep in mind: mobile phone bills and screenshots cannot be used, the full address needs to be visible, and the document should be reasonably recent. Please note that a bank statement is not accepted as proof of address.

What happens after you submit

Once we have reviewed your documents, our Compliance team will in most cases send you an additional questionnaire. The questions depend on your company — what your business does, how it operates and which markets it serves — so they are different for every merchant.

This is a normal part of the process and does not mean anything is wrong with your application. Answering the questions in full the first time is the quickest way to complete your verification.

Here’s all the information you need to know before starting the verification process.
