How do I verify my personal account?

Personal account verification confirms your identity and ensures account security when using CoinGate services.
Verification is required for users who create or access business accounts with roles such as Administrator, Accountant, etc.


Why verification is needed

CoinGate follows Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
Completing personal verification helps us protect your account, prevent fraud, and comply with legal requirements.


What you need for verification

To verify your personal account, prepare the following:

  1. A valid government-issued ID

    • Passport, National ID card, or Driver’s license.

    • The document must be valid (not expired) and clearly visible.

  2. A working camera or smartphone

    • Verification is completed through a Live ID check using your device camera.

    • Make sure you’re in a well-lit area and follow the on-screen instructions.

  3. Your personal details

    • Full legal name and date of birth.

    • Residential address (must match your ID country).


How to complete verification

  1. Log in to your CoinGate account.

  2. Go to Account settings → Verification.

  3. Select Verify personal account and follow the steps in the Live ID flow.

  4. Once submitted, your information will be reviewed — verification usually takes a short time, but may vary depending on document quality and queue.


After verification

Once your personal account is verified, you’ll be able to:

  • Manage business accounts.

  • Access financial and compliance-related features based on your assigned role.
