CoinGate operates as a regulated crypto-asset service provider in the European Union under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA).
The services are provided by UAB “Decentralized”, a company registered in Lithuania and authorized by the Bank of Lithuania as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider under MiCA.
This authorization allows CoinGate to legally provide crypto-asset services within the EU under the MiCA regulatory framework.
In addition, UAB “Decentralized” is also authorized by the Bank of Lithuania as a Payment Institution, allowing the company to provide transfer services for Electronic Money Tokens.
MiCA establishes a unified regulatory framework across the European Union, ensuring higher standards of transparency, consumer protection, and operational oversight for crypto-asset services.
