CoinGate is available in most countries, but not all. The list changes as sanctions and regulations change, so the supported countries page is the authoritative source — always check there rather than relying on a list copied elsewhere.
Why some countries are not supported
Restrictions come from international sanctions and from the regulatory framework we operate under as a licensed company in Lithuania. They are not commercial decisions, and we cannot make exceptions for individual accounts.
What this means for merchants
Two things are worth separating. The first is where your company is registered and operates, which determines whether you can open a CoinGate account at all. The second is where your own customers are, which is your responsibility to manage: transactions must not originate from sanctioned jurisdictions, and that restriction needs to be enforced on your side rather than only stated in your terms.
What this means for shoppers
If you are paying a merchant and the checkout is not available in your country, we are not able to process that payment. Contact the merchant you are buying from — they may be able to offer another payment method.
