If you do not submit the required information to request a refund within the time limit (typically 7 calendar days), your funds will not be returned and will remain in our custody.
If you don’t request a refund or fail to complete the required process within 100 days from the date of your transaction, we won’t be able to refund you, and the crypto-assets you transferred will be subject to administrative fees in line with our policies and the Shopper Disclaimer (refer to our terms for more information).
By law and under financial regulations, CoinGate is obligated to withhold and prevent the return of funds when:
The origin of funds cannot be verified,
The recipient cannot be properly identified,
Or when refund conditions are not met within the required timeframe,
The payment originates from or is linked to a sanctioned jurisdiction, person, entity, or high-risk blockchain source.
In such cases, the funds:
Are retained without release as required by regulatory obligations,
May not be legally returned under any circumstances,
May be reported to competent authorities, depending on the circumstances,
Cannot be accessed, claimed, or refunded after expiration,
May be subject to fees in line with our policies.
